I will be glad today

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Funny I didn’t see where any exceptions were made about that you don’t have to be glad if you are having a bad day or a bad week. It didn’t even allow you off the hook if you were having a bad month.

I am not having a good day today. In fact, I haven’t had much of a great year so for in 2009.

Still I am going to be glad today. Instead of complaining about what I don’t have I think, I will thank God for all the things he has given me. In fact if things get bad today. I will simply thank God for my last breath. After all, he is the one that gave it to me.

I believe if you suddenly missed a couple you would be glad to get one back.

No complaining for me toady, I choose simply to be glad today.

    When I was reading my bible this am, the Lord revealed something new to me on a story I have read or heard many, many times. In fact that is just what the Holy Spirit does. You can read a paticular passage and the Holy Spirit will reavel one thing and then you can go back and read the same exact passage another time and the Holy Spirit will reveal something totally different that you need at that time. The word the Lord revealed to me was on the story of Abraham and Issac and Abraham’s confirmation of faith in Gen. 22:1-14. The verses I underlines were, vs. 8, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.”, vs. 12, “for now I know that yo fear God,” and vs. 14, “And Abraham called the name of the place, The Lord Will Provide.” Now God allowed Abraham to go as far as actually bind his only son upon the altar and raise up the knife to kill him (can you imagine what poor Issac was thinking or doing?). God waited until the VERY LAST minute to provide Abraham what he needed all just to see if he TRULY feared Him!
