Remembering Nikita Khrushchev

After thinking about it. I decided that maybe the following needed some explanation. After all many readers might not have been alive when the following happen.

In the 50’s the Russian leader was Nikita Khrushchev. He was a very out spoken and colorful man. In my opinion he is best known for taking his shoe off at a UN meeting and pounding it on the desk. I suppose he was trying to get his point across.

He did not like the USA or the freedoms we enjoyed. He once said and I am not quoting here that he would take us over and never fire a shot.

He thought we were a corrupt nation with corrupt leaders that would eventually cause us to collapse inward on ourself.

What he predicted actually happen to his own country. Still you have to look at us today and wonder maybe he knew a little of what he was talking about.

If Mr. Khrushchev had died in office, would Aristotle Onassis have married Mrs. Khrushchev?
